Mayor Hubie Whitehead was born and raised in Texas. Hubie was educated at the University of Oklahoma, and worked as an English teacher for thirty-two years. Hubie moved to Red Roost in 1998, and became mayor in 2007 at the age of fifty-three. He lives with his wife, Sheila, and their three daughters in the Southernmost neighborhood of Red Roost. Hubie has helped develop better roads across Red Roost, and even helped the installation of new computers at the Campbell Library.
Kennedy Wood is an undeveloped plot of land near Red Roost High School. While this area is not yet open to the public, plans are being made on how to develop the land. Learn more about the history of these woods here.
Red Roost Steinway High School was originally opened as a music academy extension from Bowville. However, in 1964, when Red Roost was incorporated as a town, RR Steinway became Red Roost High School.
